A method for managing a security checkpoint through multi-criteria analysis with consideration of safety and process performance.
The purpose of this paper is to develop a method for configuring a security screening checkpoint at an airport. The method will be based on such personnel management that the most advantageous ratio of safety to process efficiency is achieved. The paper uses a computer simulation method on the basis of which a multi-criteria analysis is conducted. Two criteria are taken into account: safety and process performance. Such a model has not yet been developed in the scientific literature and can be of significant interest to the airport security control manager. The article is part of the work related to the project: "Development of an innovative desk of the primary and supplementary training of the security control operator at the airport".

Human error risk analysis in the cargo logistics process in the airport zone
Human errors are a common cause of disruptions in the logistics service process. In order to eliminate them, enterprises introduce automatic solutions to routine logistics operations. However, not in every system is it possible to automate the process of handling loads. Some operations still require human intervention, or the economic calculation does not justify using autonomous solutions. In these situations, it is necessary to implement solutions that will eliminate or reduce the impact of the human factor on the risk of adverse events. The article aims to analyze the risk of human errors in cargo logistics handling at the airport. Field tests were carried out at a selected airport. On their basis, the identification of adverse events and their analysis using qualitative and quantitative risk assessment methods were carried out. The assessment results made it possible to develop dedicated solutions to improve the crew's competencies with the use of Virtual Reality technology.

Identification of safety relevant activities of train crews using the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM)
During training the classical traing process of train crews are used real vehicles. There are two disadvantages of this approach. The first, vehicles are out of order to perform commercial tasks. This factor cerates high costs and, to minimze them, the tarining time is kept as short as possible. Secondly, there is no possibilty to trainee dangerous sitations, as for example fire on board of a train. Thus, using of Virtual Reality in the traning process is a key undertaking to improve safety and efficiency of railway operation processes. The problem occurrs how to choose safety relevant situations for implenetation as scenarios in the Virtual Reality environment. The paper proposes a method for determining train crew activities based on activity execution variability. The variability of activity execution is characterized by precision and timeliness. The accuracy and timeliness of train crew activity performance were estimated mainly based on a survey of train crews, as well operation data from the Polish Railway Network Manager. The research problem is focussed on selection of the most impertant activities and scenarios that can be carried out by train crews. The research method has the following form. The structure of typical and atypical train crew activities and their interactions is modelled using the Functional Resonance Analysis Method (FRAM). Functions of the FRAM model represent activities of the train crews under their duty. For individual functions, the variability is determined taking into account precision, and time correctness of execution. Activities and scenarios requiring training are selected from the activities with the highest variability and the activities with the highest variability chains.

Risk Of Maintenance Resource Sharing In Transport Systems
The authors investigate the problem of maintenance resource sharing for transport systems in the context of operational risk assessment. The paper includes a short introduction to the maintenance problems and a discussion of maintenance resource sharing issues in transport systems' effective performance. Later, a three-parameter risk assessment ratio is introduced. It includes a probability of disruption occurrence, consequences of disruption occurrence, and a new measure characterizing maintenance resources availability. Later, the problem of maintenance resources availability is analyzed and discussed. Finally, a short case study is introduced. The presented paper gives the possibility to identify research gaps and possible future research directions connected with optimization of maintenance problems in transportation organizations.
