The PSAM 4 Conference will be held at the Grand Hyatt Hotel, Park Avenue at Grand Central (on 42nd Street), New York, NY 10017, from September 13-18, 1998. The hotel is in the heart of Manhattan and is approximately 45-60 minutes from JFK International Airport, Newark International Airport, and from LaGuardia Airport.
All major airlines serve the New York City area airports. The Carey Bus Company has buses available at JFK and LaGuardia airports on a frequent schedule and will transport you to their location directly across from Grand Central Terminal and the Grand Hyatt Hotel. The one-way cost is approximately $10-15. If you prefer to travel by taxicab, look for yellow taxis and expect to pay at least $25 for the trip from LaGuardia and $40 for the trip from JFK. Olympia Trails Bus Company offers transportation between Grand Central Station and Newark International Airport for approximately $10, one-way. Grand Central Station is a main railroad terminus for many trains in the U.S. and is next door to the hotel. The other main railroad station in midtown Manhattan is Pennsylvania Station (7th Avenue between 31st and 33rd Streets) and it is a short taxi ride from the hotel. Several city subway and bus lines are near the hotel.
The Grand Hyatt Hotel, which is hosting this year's PSAM 4 conference is now officially booked up. Although there is no more room for participants at this hotel, the following is a list of hotels in the surrounding area. We have not guaranteed spaces in these hotels, so it is crucial to book a room early at one of these places.
The following hotels when checked on July 30, 1998, have rooms available for the week of September 13-18, 1998. The prices are subject to change. Please contact the hotel for rates.

Conference registration must be made using the PSAM 4 Registration Form provided on this web site. Registration includes Sunday Reception, Tuesday Luncheon, Wednesday Gala Evening Dinner at INTREPID Sea*Air*Space Museum, all coffee/refreshment breaks, and both the hard copy and CD ROM versions of the PSAM 4 Proceedings. Early preregistration is strongly encouraged and is $575. After June 1, 1998, the registration fee is $675. Registration fee for full time students is $275 (if paid by June 1, 1998 ) and $325 (after June 1). On-site registration can be done in the Grand Hyatt Hotel.
